Home Economics

Welcome to the Home Economics department at Perth Academy. Our team consists of four Home Economics teachers and one general assistant.

In the department, we want pupils to feel both valued as individuals, and to be able to share responsibility for nurturing good relationships and we wish to promote Home Economics as a subject which contributes to the personal and social development of pupils. We aim to build confidence through the development of practical food skills.

The courses in Home Economics have been devised to develop each pupil’s knowledge, practical, and creative skills in our subject and it is essential that an enjoyable experience is provided for all pupils to ensure success for all learners.
